The rooms were very comfortable and the location superb.
Its convenient location, cleanliness and the prompt service by the staff. Also the really rich breakfast.
The lack of wi-fi connection for the internet in the bedroom. I could do with a more varied menu in the restaurant.
The hotel was located right at the city center; great breakfast; nice that we even had a couch in our room instead of just a bed.
The location was ideal for the old town of Gent and the hotel had a nice feel to it. The qaulity of the food in the restaurant was good and there was a large breakfast selection.
Road works meant that accessing the hotel was difficult via the normal route and despite requesting a parking space I was informed that one was not available when I arrived (although this was resolved). Service in the restaurant by the waitress was pleasant and good humoured but the food took over one hour to arrive and did so only after other guests who had been seated and ordered after us were served. The breakfast variety was very good but at 20 Euros per person very off-putting. The fact that children ate for free at breakfast however was a bonus.
The location of the hotel is great for the old part of the city, staff are very helpfull. It was snowing when I stayed, but the hotel was lovely and warm. This is my 4th visit to the hotel.
The only real problem I had was with the shower head, the angle was wrong making it difficult to shower underneath it, I did tell reception and someone came to look at it, although I never heard anymore and the problem wasn't resolved.
the bed was really big and room too.
The location is great. The hotel is right in the center of the city and almost everything you will want to see is within walking distance. The hotel is clean and well kept.
It's an international chain and lacks charm.
Good hotel in excellent location. Ghent is gorgeous and will be even better when it's finished. Easy stroll to all the main tourist sights and brilliant bars.
The bathroom floor and shower base needed a real scrub with bleach, they were dirty and moldy. The breakfast cost 18 euros each which we didnt want to spend so went to the nearby Pain Quotidien for a delicious fresh and much cheaper breakfast. Parking was also impossible as the streets are blocked with roadworks and pedestrian zones, so our GPS took a long time to help us locate the hotel. I think the hotel owners/website should include a map of how to best navigate the city. Too expensive for an ordinary and basic room.
location was perfect for us the hotel was clean and comfortable we did not have dinner but breakfast was excellent
Location in the historical centre is excellent!
- Parking was full and really small (impossible to turn). - Stains on the bed sheet (even though the rest looked clean)
The layout of the hotel was nice and felt spacious and relaxing with the outside area/pool and large reception.
the furnishing in the room was not very luxurious. The room was quite dark
Perfect location, large family room, delicious breakfast and nice courtyard with swimmingpool.
The staff did not read properly my request in the booking message and th first night we did not get a cot and the children and us were placed in different floors.
Everything was alright in terms of efficiency, but there was nothing to be delighted about.
I had booked for 5 nights initially and then wanted to change to 4 nights well in advance, but neither did they refund my money nor was it adjusted against other expenses. Being peak season and the hotel was running full and it was a weekend night, i think they could have shown some consideration as they were not losing.
I liked the location more than anything, the room was great with lage poening windows overloking the picturesque town, and it was a smoking room, not to everybods taste but at least you have the choice, tea and coffee making facilities/minibar,
I didnt like the fact that there was a music festeval (the festival was great) on and there was so much noise all around the hotel you couldn't get away from it, the hotel should have warned me of this, also i couldn't pary anywhere near the hotel so i had to put my car in the carpark down the road especially if you have more than one bag.
